Welcome to the UPC Show with Curtis Haring, Dylan McDonnell, and Bob Kubicheck!
In the first half: Turns out the legislature was wrong about that whole “the feds will support a watered-down Medicaid expansion so we can ignore the people” thing, the United Utah Party is gathering signatures for a term limit law, one lawmaker was the largest opioid dealer in the areas he served (and also happened to fight against medical marijuana, and Mike Lee is a turd (need we say more?).
In the second half: A listener is clearly running for governor, McAdams is the most popular of Utah’s federal delegation, while Curtis is the least known, Stewart has fewer positive supporters than Democrats in Congress, and no one likes poor Mitt Romney. McAdams also votes against his own party and Rob Bishop may run again (okay, we recorded on Sunday and Bishop announced that he wouldn’t run on Monday, so give us a break).
Other talking points include:
- Google knows better than you.
- I’m happier the less I know
- Floss talk and impenetrable teeth
- Licensed drug dealer
- What are the odds of being in the New Hampshire legislature?
- So corrupt that we don’t know it is corrupt.
- The great banana collapse
- It just eats our hair
- The name is on the trains
For you fuddy-duddies that don’t like the cold open: The politics talk kicks in at 4:45.
