In the first half: Orrin Hatch is on the way out, and who might be replacing him; Greg Hughes also isn’t running again; and Keep my Voice is coming out against Count My Vote
In the second half: The Legislative session is upon us. We talk about bad legislation such as HB 68 – Political Party Amendments which severely contracts the amount of time someone can declare when they are running for office and HB 136 – Federal Designations, which restricts government agencies from speaking on a land policy unless the state legislature agrees with the policy. But there are some we do like, such as HB 148 – Tax Revisions, which eliminates the food tax and increases the sales tax; HCR 1 – Concurrent Resolution on Global Warming and Climate Change, which requires that the state to acknowledge that climate change is a thing and that state policy should consider this when making policy; HB 12 – Family Planning Services Amendments, which would require the state to cover birth control for low income families;
Other talking points include:
- Why won’t the working class connect to Democrats and their acrobats?
- The life of the modern forger.
- Greg Hughes is Batman.
- WHAT ABOUT TOWER 7?!
- Working on your Mitt impression.
- The ‘ol Huntsman switch-a-roo.
- Lawnmowerman Smart.
- Humble Bob.
- This dog don’t hunt.
- A heavy sigh to close the show.
