Legislative Update – Day 42: March 6, 2017

I honestly don’t know where to begin. The last day of committee hearings saw bills dying left and right, the disintegration of any sort of food tax proposal, a surprise $100 million for the prison passing the House, and a $1 billion (with a “B”) bond for transportation funding passing the Senate.

All bets are off, the rules have been lifted, anything can happen, and lawmakers are going to be on the floor basically from here until Thursday at midnight.
