The Primer: Season 1, Episode 10 – How a Bill *Actually* Becomes a Law

Primer Logo

Welcome to The Primer!

For this episode, your hosts, Curtis and Alex walk you through the actual process of how a bill becomes a law.

No, this isn’t the cynical look where we talk about backroom deals and money changing hands (that stuff is more for the UPC Show), NO!

In this episode, we explain the many and exciting ways a bill can actually die, what various motions and shenanigans mean if you see them taking place on a piece of legislation, and how the last few days of the session can be a confusing free-for-all when it comes to passing bills.

Finally, as a programming note, this is the last episode of Season 1 of the Primer, we will return after the 2015 legislative session comes to a close. Until then, you should feel free to send us your Primer topics, simply Email or Tweet us your suggestions!

Enjoy!
